Women's Soccer's Exhibition Game Against James Madison Cancelled Due to Weather

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women's soccer's exhibition match against James Madison was cancelled nearly halfway through due to severe weather. Scheduled to play three periods of 30 minutes, the Spartans led 1-0 in the 41st minute when the game was stopped and then later called off.

The lone goal of the game came in the 23rd minute. Near midfield Isabelle Blomdahl chipped a pass over the Dukes' defense to Lauren Daniels, who then put a shot past a sliding goalkeeper in the right side of the box.

The Spartans had an 8-2 shots advantage and all six corner kicks. Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper made one save.

UNCG opens the regular season at home against Gardner-Webb next Friday at 7 p.m.
