UNCG Volleyball Unable To Secure Victory At Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – UNC Greensboro volleyball (8-13, 2-5) was unable to score a victory in a key Southern Conference matchup on Wednesday night, falling to Furman 3-1 (24-26, 25-21, 20-25, 20-25) at Alley Gymnasium.   

Three Things To Know
--Junior Maria Esch led the way in kills for the Spartans with 12 

--Freshman Elayne Grisbee tied her season-high in blocks with five. 

--Freshman Gabriela McHugh moved into 15thplace in career assists in program history after collecting 43 assists against Furman.  

Up Next
The Spartans will return home on Saturday afternoon to host Mercer for a 4 p.m. The match will honor past members of the program.       

UNCG Volleyball is celebrating 50 years of wonderful memories dedicated to celebrating current and former student-athletes, coaches and staff who have made an impact on our family. The program will be hosting a special celebration the weekend of Friday, Oct. 18 and Saturday, Oct. 19.
