GREENSBORO, N.C.- The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team dropped the first game in the three-game series against the Longwood Lancers, 6-5, on Friday night.

Ethan McKay's 14
th RBI of the season got the Spartans on the board in the bottom of the second inning.
Pres Cavenaugh scored in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI single from
Greg Hardison to tie the game at two.

Longwood scored three runs in the seventh and added another in the eighth to take a 6-2 lead.

Hogan Windish singled to right-field to lead the Spartans off in the eighth inning, followed by a walk from
Dallas Callahan.
Brett Kelly pinch ran for Windish.

Kelly and Callahan scored on an RBI double from
Kennedy Jones. Jones scored on a single from
GC Jarman.

Austin Parsley made his ninth appearance and his seventh start of the season. He pitched 6.1 innings and struck out seven bringing his season total to 43.

Alex Hoppe and
Sam Murchison also made an appearance on the mound. Murchison pitched 2.0 innings and struck out three. He did not allow a hit.
