GREENSBORO, N.C.- Greg Hardison stretched his on-base streak to 27, tying for 10
th in the record books in the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team's 10-7 loss against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Tuesday night.

Kennedy Jones started the game with his first career triple to left center.
Greg Hardison's 204
th  career hit brought Jones home to give UNCG the early lead. The Spartans stretched their lead to 3-0 with an RBI single from
Mitchell Smith and a failed pick-off attempt that allowed Smith to score.

Matt Kemp's triple in the fourth brought
Ethan McKay home to tie the game at four. The Spartans next run came from Hardison on an RBI single from Smith.

UNCG tacked on two more, one in the seventh and one in the ninth, both from Jones.

Freshman
Caleb Freeman earned his first collegiate start. He pitched 2.0 innings, allowed one hit and struck out two. Six more Spartan pitchers had time on the mound.
Price King and
Sam Murchison also struck out two batters.

Jake Wolf, and Cam Noble did not allow a run in their appearance. Â
