FINAL WORDS FROM COACH GODWIN
On overall performance
"I think we just got beat today. We didn't do anthing to beat ourselves. We had opportunities to score runs and we left some runs out there. I have to give VMI a lot of credit. They pitched well, had some timely hits, and they were better than we were."

On Parsley's complete game
"He's awesome! He kept us in the game and that's all we ask. He had a quality start and he saves our bullpen. He's been outstanding. Every time we turn the ball over to him, we feel good about it."

UPCOMING
UNCG will look to clinch the series tomorrow at 1 p.m. The Spartans will send LHP Jared Mathewson to the mound.

The Spartans will host their annual Alumni Weekend next weekend against ETSU. Saturday prior to the game, UNCG will honor its 2022 senior class.
