JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's soccer team fell to ETSU, 1-0, in its final regular season road game in The Southern Conference (SoCon) play on Thursday night at Summers-Taylor Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Back-and-forth play throughout the first half led to a scoreless game until the 44
th minute. ETSU drew a foul at the edge of the 18-yard box allowing Grace Eatz to take the free kick. Eatz knocked the ball straight into the back of the net for ETSU to take the lead, 1-0.
UNCG picked up the intensity going into the second frame. The Spartan's best chance came at 59:27 when
Claire Esse blasted the ball from 20 yards out to find the gloves of goalkeeper Ashton Blair.

UNCG heads home for its last two games in the regular season, starting with Chattanooga on Sunday, October 15th with a kick-off at 1 p.m. at the UNCG Soccer Stadium.
The Spartans finish the regular season on Sunday, October 22nd against VMI at 2 p.m. This will be UNCG's Homecoming and Hall of Fame Weekend where the 1996 and 1997 women's soccer teams, as well as four former women's soccer student-athletes, will be inducted into the UNCG Athletics Hall of Fame. The VMI game will also be the Spartans' senior day.
