WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's track & field teams competed at the two-day Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track this Friday and Saturday.
 
The women saw seven clock in personal bests, while the men had six personal bests.
 
Men
Andrew Hamilton, Andrew Wallace, and Charlie Bennett all finished in the top-20 of the 800-meter run out of 36 competitors. Hamilton placed ninth overall for one of two Spartan men's top-10 finish in the invitational. He ran a time of 1:59.03, while Wallace ran a personal best time of 2:00.49, taking home 13th. Bennett placed 19th.
 
Spencer Connick ran the 1000-meter run for the first time in his collegiate career, finishing 10th out of 18 competitors with a time of 2:44.43. He finished second in his heat.
 
Three Spartans competed in the mile and each of them ran a personal best time. Colin Keck clocked in a time of 4:20.92, placing 26th out of 74. He finished first in his section. Lane Prochaska and Grant Barbour finished 36th and 43rd, respectively.
 
Dylan Christopher and Evan Pena also ran personal bests in the 3000-meter run. Christopher finished 16th out of 87 competitors with a time of 8:21.70, while Pena placed 43rd.
 
Women
Raegan O'Quinn finished with the highest mark on the day for the Spartans finishing fourth out of 56 competitors in the 800-meter run. Her time of 2:18.53 was first in her heat. Teammate Serena Henderson placed 24th overall with a personal best time of 2:27.04.
 
Monique Clement, Kaliyah Hargrove, and Naomi Pridgen all ran personal bests in the 60-meter dash. Clement and Hargrove took first and second in the section.
 
Leah Baizar led the Spartans with a 32nd place finish out of 57 competitors in the 200-meter run clocking in a personal best time of 27.44.
 
Chandler McCaslin also led the Spartans, but in the 3000-meter run, where she took home 22nd out of 60 competitors. McCaslin crossed the finish line with a time of 10:27.76, which was good for first in her section. Jenna Reiter ran a time of 10:40.69 which was first in her second and 32nd overall. Victoria Sosa, in her 3000-meter debut, took second in Reiter's section with a time of 10:55.26, which was good for 38th overall.
 
Camille Carlson ran a personal best time of 5:24.91 in the mile placing 39th out of 65 competitors.
