CULLOWHEE, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's track & field teams wrapped up day two of the Southern Conference (SoCon) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday at Catamount Athletic Complex.
The Spartan men tallied 21 points, while the women earned seven points.
Three earned SoCon All-Freshman honors, including
Lane Prochaska,
Reagan O'Quinn, and
Evan Pena.
Men
Lane Prochaska was one of three Spartans to earn SoCon All-Freshman honors after a 10th-place finish in the 1500-meter run. Prochaska ran a personal-best time of 3:59.32.
Fifth year
Dylan Christopher, fresh off his back-to-back 10,000-meter championship on Monday, finished as the runner up in the 5000-meter run. Christopher clocked in a time of 14:49.39.
Freshman
Evan Pena finished a few places behind Christopher in the 5000-meter run, taking home seventh overall. He clocked in a time of 15:17.62.

Women
After fifth year Chandler qualified for the 800-meter finals on Monday, she impressed the field with a top-five finish. Chandler placed fourth overall with a time of 2:13.28.
O'Quinn earned a SoCon All-Conference nod after finishing seventh in the 800-meter finals with a time of 2:17.41.
