DURHAM, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team is in a tie for ninth place after two rounds of play at the Rod Myers Invitational on Sunday at Duke Golf Course in Durham, North Carolina.
TEAM
- UNCG carded rounds of 296-287 for seven-over-par (583) through two rounds.
- The Spartans are in a three-way tie with UNC Wilmington and High Point.
- Duke and N.C. State are leading the tournament in a tie for 10th place behind a 10-under-par (566).
- The Blue & Gold are leading the field with 118 pars and are second with a 3.08 average on par threes.
INDIVIDUAL
- Colin Dutton is pacing the Spartans in a tie for 10th place behind back-to-back rounds of one-under-par (71) for an overall score of two-under-par (142).
- B.J. Boyce follows closely behind Dutton to sit in a tie for 14th place. Boyce carded a one-under-par (143) after shooting rounds of 72-71 on Sunday.
- Boyce is second on the course with a 4.25 average on par fives.
- Jack Marcotte, Will Guidry and Jake Lewis each posted a five-over-par (149) on the day to be in a tie for 47th place.
- Keenan Royalty is in 52nd place solely after notching a six-over-par (150). The sophomore shot a nine-over-par (81) in the first round before coming back to post a three-under-par (69) in round two.
- Royalty is leading the Spartans with eight birdies on the day.
- Kelvin Hernandez rounds out the scorecard for the Spartans to be in a tie for 58th place. Hernandez carded rounds of 79-74 for nine-over-par (153).
