GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's and women's cross country teams and Head Coach
Kaleigh Roach have announced their 2025 schedule.
The men highlighted the 2024 season with a third place finish at The Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship, making it the best mark since the 2011* season when UNCG was crowned champion. They then concluded the season at the NCAA Division I Southeast Regional in Rock Hill, South Carolina, where they finished 22
nd overall. Spartan alum,
Colin Keck earned All-Conference Second Team honors with his 12
th place finish, while rising sophomore
Logan Ruffner was named to the All-Freshman Team.
The women saw its best mark at the Phoenix Invitational last season, where the squad finished fourth and rising senior
Vicky Sosa placed third individually. Sosa later led the Spartans with her 22
nd-place finish, for a career-best mark at the SoCon Championships, where the women took home seventh as a team.
"Our crew is excited to begin the 2025 cross country season!" exclaimed Coach Roach. "I believe our schedule provides the competitive opportunities to challenge and prepare my student-athletes for the championship segment, highlighted by the Panorama Farms Invitational and Upstate Invitational on Oct. 17
th and 18
th, respectively. We are also looking forward to hosting our first home cross country meet on Oct. 3, which will be new to our program's history. We appreciate all the support in this new season!"

- The 2025 schedule will consist of five regular season meets with three in North Carolina, one in Virginia and one in South Carolina.
- The Spartans will begin the 2025 season with a short trip to Winston-Salem to take on Wake Forest on Aug. 29.
- The squad will then compete on Sept. 19 in the Adidas XC Challenge, hosted by N.C. State in Cary.
- October will be highlighted by UNCG's own Spartan Classic on Oct. 3 in Kernersville at the Ivey Redman Sports Complex.
- The men will then compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational on Oct. 17 in Charlottesville, Virginia, while the women will run on Oct. 18 in the Upstate Invite in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
- The 2025 SoCon Cross Country Championships will be held in Tryon, North Carolina, on Nov. 1 at the Tryon Equestrian Center.
- The NCAA Division I Southeast Regional Championships will take place in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Nov. 14 and then those teams and individuals that qualify will compete in the NCAA Division I Championships which will be held in Columbia, Missouri, on Nov. 22.
NOTE: The 2011 SoCon Championship was later vacated.
