GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team and Head Coach Trina Patterson have announced their 2025-26 season schedule.
 
The Spartans return to the court this year after a historic 2024-25 season, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1998. The team defeated Chattanooga, 64-57, in The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championship, earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The team fell to No. 1 USC in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

UNCG wrapped up the 2025 SoCon slate with a 13-1 record, marking its best SoCon regular season finish in program history to earn the SoCon Regular Season Title. It was Patterson's second time earning a share of the SoCon Regular Season Title and first time earning it outright.

UNCG tallied 14 consecutive victories last season for the longest winning streak in the Division I era. The squad also concluded the season with 25 wins for the most victories in the UNCG Division I era and tied for third all-time, marking the winningest season for Patterson.

The Spartans concluded the 2024-25 regular season slate undefeated at home at 14-0. This was the second time in program history that UNCG has went undefeated at home and first time in the UNCG Division I era.

"We are thrilled with the layout of our 2025-26 schedule," said Patterson. "The non-conference games will allow our team to evolve and grow. The early challenges will test our ability to adapt to different styles of play, which will prepare our team for SoCon play."

• 29 regular season games: 14 home & 15 away.
• All home games will be in Fleming Gym for the 2025-26 season.
• The Spartans will begin the 2025-26 season with a trip to California, facing Stanford on Monday, Nov. 3 at 10:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. PST before taking on San Francisco on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. PST.
• The Spartans will take a short rest before heading south to take on Auburn in Auburn, Alabama, on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7:00 p.m. EST/6:00 p.m. CST.
• The team will then take on Presbyterian on Friday, Nov. 14 in Clinton, South Carolina, before opening the home slate with Gardner-Webb on Friday, Nov. 21 in Fleming Gym at 7:00 p.m.
• The Spartans will face one team in their non-conference schedule that made an appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament with the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday, Nov. 23 in Chapel Hill.
• Non-Conference breakdown: Big South (3), ACC (2), MEAC (2), NCCAA (2), WCC (1), SEC (1), AMC (1), SBC (1), CAA (1) and CIAA (1).
• The Spartans will open the SoCon slate on Thursday, Jan. 8 playing host to Samford in Greensboro at 7:00 p.m.
• UNCG begins its SoCon road slate with a trip to Furman on Thursday, Jan. 15 in Greenville, South Carolina.
• The 2025-26 regular season will be concluded at Western Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
• The 2026 SoCon Tournament will be held from March 5-8 in Asheville, North Carolina, at the Harrah's Cherokee Center.
