LAST TIME OUT
- The Spartans competed in the ASICS Sound Invite at JDL Fast Track last Saturday.
- Emery Anderson, Alana Hill and Ayzia Jefferson broke school records, while a total of seventeen Spartans clocked in personal best times.
- Anderson rebroke his school record time in the 400-meter seeded race, running a 49.71 to finish fourth out of 14. He improved on his previous school record time of 50.92, set on Jan. 30 at the Tryon College Banked Invitational.
- Jefferson clocked in a time of 25.54 in the 200-meter run, taking home 11th out of 13 competitors. She has now broken the 200-meter school record three times, twice improving on her own record this year.
- Hill ran a time of 58.77 in the 400-meter event, which placed her fourth out of 12 competitors. The freshman also improved on her school record time of 59.78, set on Jan. 23 at the Liberty Invite. Senior Chelsea Valdivia-Rizo's 400-meter time of 1:02.50, which placed her seventh in the event, is now fourth all time in the UNCG records.
