WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's & women's track teams sent a select group of Spartans to the Wake Forest Invitational on Thursday and Friday.
Ayzia Jefferson set a new personal best and school record time of 25.03 in the 200-meter run. The time placed her 11
th out of 16 competitors. She previously set a time of 25.04 at the Bob Davidson Memorial at High Point to begin the season. Teammate,
Alana Hill, ran a time of 25.65 in the event which put her 15
th overall.
With nine sections of the 800-meter open event,
Jeremiah Jones ran a personal best time of 1:53.84 and placed third out of six.
Samuel Barnard, competed in one of nine sections of the 1500-meter open, where he finished seventh with a personal best time of 3:54.96. This was the second time in his collegiate career that he broke the four-minute mark in the 1500-meter run.

UP NEXT
UNCG will send Spartans to the Duke Twilight in Durham, North Carolina, at Morris Williams Stadium on Sunday, May 3 for the final regular season meet of the season. Following that, they will prep for the 2026 Southern Conference (SoCon) Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held at Western Carolina at Catamount Athletic Complex in Cullowhee, North Carolina, from May 11-12.
