Men’s Golf Announces 2026-27 Schedule

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team and Head Coach Terrance Stewart have announced the schedule for the 2026-27 season.
 
"The schedule will prepare the team for the postseason once again," said Stewart. "The team will host the Bryan National Collegiate at Bryan Park, from Sept 12-13. UNCG will also host two home tournaments once again in Puerto Rico, first at the TPC Dorado Beach and then at the Palmas Athletic Club, both in February.
 
UNCG finished in fourth place at The 2026 Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships behind a nine-over-par (861) with round scores of 289-290-282. The Spartans carded their best finish of the 2025-26 season at the Dorado Beach Collegiate on Feb. 24, notching third place with a three-under-par (285). UNCG recorded six top-10 finishes last year.
 
Among the returners on the 2026-27 squad, includes senior standout Kelvin Hernandez, who earned the automatic bid into the 2026 NCAA Regionals after securing first place in the 2026 SoCon Championships on April 29 at Solina Country Club. Hernandez fired off rounds of 67-72-65, setting a new course record in the final round.
 
The Caguas, Puerto Rico, native's appearance in the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional marked the 10th time in the UNCG Division I era that the Spartans have made an NCAA Regionals appearance as either a team or individual. In addition, it was the second time in his collegiate career competing at the NCAA Regionals.

  • The Spartans will compete in 11 regular season tournaments, including five in the fall and six in the spring.
  • Across the regular season, the Spartans will take on four tournaments in North Carolina, two in Puerto Rico and one apiece in Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia and Texas.
  • UNCG will begin the 2026-27 season hosting the Bryan National Collegiate from Sept. 12-13 at Bryan Park in Greensboro, North Carolina.
  • The Spartans will host two more tournaments this year with the Dorado Beach Collegiate from Feb. 7-9 in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and the Palmas del Mar Collegiate from Feb. 12-14 in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
  • One tournament will consist of individual competition only in the Elon Phoenix Invitational from Oct. 12-13 in Burlington, North Carolina.
  • The regular season will be concluded in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with the Tarheel Collegiate from April 10-11.
  • The 2027 SoCon Championships will be held from April 26-28 at Pawleys Plantation in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
  • The NCAA Regionals will consist of six possible locations, with the highest seeds hosting from May 17-19.
  • The 2027 NCAA Championships will be held in Carlsbad, California, at the Omni La Costa Resort from May 28-June 2.
