“It was great to be at home, but it wasn't the outcome that we were looking for,” said senior guard and West Virginia native Amanda Eaton.

“We're not the Big East, and we knew that coming in,” said head coach Lynne Agee. “It was an opportunity to see what we were made of. We played everyone tonight and that's what we wanted to do.” “We knew what we were getting into with West Virginia. Outscoring West Virginia, 28-27 in the second half was encouraging for us.”

UNCG returns to action on Friday, November 26 in the UNCG Tournament. The host Spartans will take on Winthrop at 1 p.m., while Pittsburgh and South Carolina State tangle at 3 p.m.
