CHATTANOOGA, TN – Chattanooga defeated UNC Greensboro 3-0 (30-13, 30-22, 30-22) in a Southern Conference women's volleyball match Saturday night at Maclellan Gym. Junior Hilary Overby had a team-high 12 kills for the Spartans
Freshman Liz Benzschawel tied a season-high with six kills for UNCG (2-17, 1-8 SoCon). Senior Adrian Hicks dished out an impressive 30 assists and had seven digs. Sophomore Alysia Rosvold led the Spartans in digs with 10.
Lindsey Galloway put away a match-high 14 digs to pace the Lady Mocs (11-9, 6-2 SoCon). Julianna Martinez and Kelly Ramsay added eight kills apiece. Bethany Herndon passed out 27 helpers, while Lara Newberry came up with 18 digs to lead the UTC defensive effort.
UNCG continues its weekend action at league rival Western Carolina Sunday at 2 pm in Cullowhee, NC.
