UNCG looks to snap a two-game losing streak Saturday afternoon. The Spartans lost to Francis Marion (3-0) last Wednesday night, 63-66, after erasing a 13-point second half deficit bringing their overall record to 1-2.
Lucy Mason (Stone Mountain, Ga./Chamblee Charter) currently leads the Spartans with 22.0 points per game. She has scored at least 20 points in each game this season and as well as leading all scorers in all three contests.
India Timpton (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) has two double-double performances on the season while Shanese Harris (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) is averaging 9.3 points per game.
Against FMU, Mariah Wilson (Atlanta, Ga./North Atlanta) recorded a career-high six blocks and 10 rebounds while Mason had a season-high 26 points, just one point shy of matching her career-high.
Saturday's game marks the 27th meeting between the two teams. HPU leads the all-time series 14-12 most recently defeating UNCG, 78-67, December 8, 2014, in High Point after trailing 32-17 in the first half.
High Point is coming off a road loss to nationally ranked Maryland last Wednesday night.
