New Orleans, La. – The UNCG women's basketball team heads to Devlin Fieldhouse Sunday for a 5 p.m. (CT) tip-off against Tulane in the Green Wave's home tournament. The Spartans (5-6) are coming off a big win at New Orleans this past Wednesday and are looking to use that momentum for the 7-3 Green Wave who have picked up big wins this season over LSU, Virginia and most recently Ole Miss.

UNCG will return to the court Monday to play either Cleveland State or St. Louis depending on the outcomes UNCG/Tulane and Cleveland State/St. Louis Sunday afternoon.
Sunday's meeting marks the fourth time the Spartans will face the Green Wave in program history. UNCG is looking for its first win over Tulane as the Spartans have lost all three past meetings. Last time the two teams met, Tulane defeated UNCG 63-43 during the 2002-03 season.
UNCG's most recent win over UNO saw four players score in double figures for the first time since defeating Longwood November 28. Senior Lucy Mason (Stone Mountain, Ga./Chamblee Charter) led the way with a game-high 28 points, seven assists and four steals. She continues to lead the Southern Conference in points per game (24.8), steals (30) and steals per game (2.72).
Shanese Harris (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) was second in scoring with 18 points, four rebounds and four assists. She is second this season in scoring averaging 9.5 points per game. Jade Scaife (Fort Washington, Md./Archbishop Spaulding) is third in scoring with 9.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. India Timpton (Charlotte, N.C./Myers Park) is leading the team in rebounds with 8.1 per game.
Depending on the outcome of Sunday's game against the Green Wave. UNCG will either face the winner or loser of CSU vs. SLU. It will be the first time the Spartans have faced either team.
