KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - UNC Greensboro women's golf is in ninth place through the first round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate, as the Spartans on Sunday collected a 298. 

Live stats will be available for tomorrow's second round via Golfstat.com. 

Senior Louisa Tichy (73) and junior Tara Bettle (73) paced UNCG during the first round as they are tied for 20th place.

Bettle birdied back-to-back holes on the front-nine, while Tichy holed three birdies of her own. 

Sophomore Hailey Joy (76) and freshman Anna Grace Brock (76) are tied for 55th place in a field of 114 competitors. 

Rounding out team play for the Spartans is junior Sara Rydman (82), as she is tied for 100th place.
