Burnette Competes in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Women’s Golf Four-Ball Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Elle Burnette of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team qualified to compete in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Women's Golf Four-Ball Championship, from Saturday to Wednesday in Charleston, South Carolina, at Daniel Island Golf Club. 
 
Burnette qualified for the event with partner Ella Spence at the Wilson Country Club qualifying event on Sept. 22, where the duo shot an event-best of seven-under-par (65). Qualifying for the Championships were held at 29 sites in 24 different states and Mexico, from Aug. 25 to Dec. 11.  

In the Championship, 64 tandems will compete in the tournament with stroke play being conducted on Saturday and Sunday. The top 32 teams will move on to compete in match play starting Monday. The field will then compete in the round of sixteen and quarterfinal matches on Tuesday with the semifinals and finals taking place on Wednesday.  
 
Burnette and partner Spence will tee off from hole one at the Ralston Creek Course at 1:20 p.m. The duo will be matched up with Olivia Deakins and Madison Le to complete the foursome.
