LYNCHBURG, Va. - UNCG track wraps up its time in Lynchburg this Saturday, turning in some of the top times in the SoCon during day two of the 6th Annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational.

Senior Taylor Delaney ran to sixth in the women's mile in the early afternoon, crossing the finish line in 5:02.21 for a new personal record. Her new lifetime best beat her previous by just seven hundredths of a second, finishing ahead of athletes from Wake Forest, East Carolina, Maryland and SoCon-rival ETSU.

The Spartan men had multiple career days in the 800m, with sophomore Joe Thoma turning in a team-best of 1:57.18 for an indoor personal record. Nicholas Thoma came in just a second shy of his brother at 1:58.16, while teammate Tyler Adams recorded a personal best of 1:59.33. Among results turned in thus far, Joe Thoma's time would place the New Jersey-native seventh in the Southern Conference this year.
