GREENSBORO, N.C.  – UNCG baseball faces its first midweek challenge of the 2020 season this Tuesday, traveling to nearby Winston-Salem to match up against No. 18 Wake Forest. After opening the season with a loss to Coastal Carolina, the Spartans closed out opening weekend on back-to-back wins over Virginia Tech and San Diego State. They will be looking to defeat their Triad-rival for a third consecutive year this week, while trying for their second win against an ACC-foe in the young 2020 season.

Series History
-- UNCG holds a 16-43 record against Wake all-time, but has beaten the side in each of the past two seasons
-- The last time the Spartans beat the Demon Deacons in Winston-Salem was on February 28, 2018. UNCG outhit their opponents 19-7 in that contest, with Greg Hardison going 3-for-4 as a freshman
