GREENSBORO, N.C.  – UNCG baseball looks to nab its second SoCon series win of the season this Saturday and Sunday with a three-game series at Mercer. Originally scheduled to start Friday, the Spartans' slate with the Bears was pushed back a little less than 24 hours, with game one set for Saturday at 1 p.m., followed by a Sunday doubleheader at the same time.

HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- UNCG is looking to bounce back from a series loss to ETSU, but took two of three in its last road series at VMI two weekends ago
-- The Bears are on a four-game winning streak, defeating Georgia State in the midweek after sweeping The Citadel on the road. They've lost just two games since March 16th, going 12-2 in that span

-- UNCG ranks second in the SoCon and 16th in the country with 139 walks drawn this year. They are led by redshirt-freshman Pres Cavenaugh whose 24 bases on balls are 10th in Division I
-- Hogan Windish went 2-for-6 at the plate last weekend, but touched first nine times while drawing four walks and three hit by pitch during the Spartans' series against ETSU
-- Lefty Price King has held opponents to one or less earned run in each of his last five appearances, registering a 1.59 ERA during that span. Meanwhile, right hander Brandon Stephens has not allowed a single run in his last five trips to the mound (6.0 IP)

-- Mercer is one of the best home run hitting teams in the country, leading the SoCon and ranking 18th in Division baseball with 35 on the year
-- Garett Delano was named to the 2021 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award Watch List on Tuesday morning, the only player from the SoCon to be selected to the list. He is hitting .316 with five home runs and 23 RBIs and is 3-0 with a 2.81 ERA and eight walks with 34 strikeouts on the mound
