Men’s Golf Concludes Fall Hosting Grandover Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's golf team hosts its final tournament of the fall this Saturday and Sunday at Grandover Resort – West Course.
 
There will be 17 teams represented.  
 
Course: Grandover Resort – West Course | Greensboro, N.C.
 
Par/Yardage: Par 72/6800 yards
 
Format: 36 holes on Saturday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start; 18 holes on Sunday with a shotgun start
 
Scheduled to Compete for UNCG: Nick Lyerly, Noah Connor, Randall Hudson, Symon Balbin, Connor Brown, BJ Boyce (IND.), Parker Truesdale (IND.), Tommy Lamb (IND.)
  • UNCG will be paired with Samford, Kennesaw State and Elon during rounds 1 & 2.

Last Time Out:
  • UNCG climbed seven spots following two rounds at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate to finish sixth overall shooting eight-over-par (872).
  • Lyerly climbed six spots with his final round six-under-par (66) to finish tied for second shooting eight-under-par (208).
  • Connor also improved following the first two rounds tying for 20th overall shooting two-over-par (218).
  • Balbin and Hudson tied for 28th to finish in the top 30 with a score of five-over-par (221).
  • The Spartans' 48 birdies stood fourth.
Up Next:
The Spartans take a break this winter, before hosting the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate from Sunday, February 12 to Tuesday, February 14 in Palm City, Florida at Hammock Creek Golf Course.
 
UNCG will host its second tournament of the new year as well with the Dorado Beach Collegiate from Sunday, February 26 to Tuesday, February 28 in Dorado, Puerto Rico at TPC Dorado Beach.
