UNCG and Wofford Set To Add New Memories In Latest Renewal Of The Rivalry

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The next chapter of the Wofford-UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's tennis rivalry will be written on Friday afternoon when the Spartans return to Spartanburg for a key Southern Conference clash. First serve from the Reeves Tennis Center is at 3:00 p.m.
 
The Terriers and Spartans have played some memorable matches over the last decade. UNCG has won six of the last 11 contests against Wofford. However, Wofford has had the upper hand the last two years, edging UNCG by 4-3 scores.
 
A victory for the Spartans would be the first time since 2011 they have opened conference competition with three straight wins.
 
A Look At UNCG
  • UNCG beat The Citadel last Thursday in a match held at Wofford.
  • The Spartans are 2-0 in Southern Conference competition.
  • It's the first time since 2014 that the Spartans are 2-0 in the SoCon.

A Look At Wofford
  • The Terriers are 7-10 overall and 1-2 in the Southern Conference.

  • Wofford defeated Davidson, 5-2, in its last match on Sunday, March 20.
  • Callum Rendle, Robert Young, Mark Endler, and Alex Horn were singles winners for the Terriers against Davidson.
