HIGH POINT, N.C. – Senior
Chandler McCaslin ran a career best time of 2:20.20 in the 800-meter run to take the individual title yesterday at the VertKlasse Meeting.
Freshmen
Laila Burk and
Serena Henderson also ran personal bests in the event. Burk clocked in a time of 2:30.80, taking 18
th out of 44 competitors, while Henderson finished in 2:32.03, good for 22
nd.
From the men's team, freshmen
Colin Keck earned a top-10 mark with his personal best time of 1:57.51 in the 800-meter run. He placed second out of 37 competitors.
Both Keck and senior
Cameron Belk took second in their respective heats in the event. Belk took home 18
th with a time of 2.01.73.
Zin Maung debuted in his first-collegiate 200-meter event, while
Andrew Hamilton and
Emmett Yacouba ran their first-collegiate 400-meter run.
Naomi Pridgen and
Christina Davis each clocked in personal best times in the 100-meter sprint, while
Madison McMasters also ran a personal best time in the 200-meter run.
