GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the first time in program history, the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's soccer team welcomes the Harvard Crimson to the UNCG Soccer Stadium.
The Crimson and the Spartans will face off tomorrow, Friday, September 2 starting at 4:00 p.m. This will be the second opponent this season for the Spartans that made an appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
UNCG SOCCER STADIUM INFORMATION
Gate entry:
Fans should enter at the main gate into the soccer stadium located off of West Drive below the tennis courts. Gates are open to fans one hour prior to the start of the match.
Parking:
Parking is free in the Walker Deck one hour prior to the start of the match. Fans parking in the Walker Deck should follow West Drive down to the main entrance of the soccer stadium.
Food and Beverages:
No outside food and drink are permitted in the soccer stadium. A sealed water bottle is permitted. A variety of food and drinks will be sold at the concessions stand on the soccer concourse. Concessions are CASHLESS - payment options include Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
SPARTANS' LAST TIME OUT
- UNCG played in its first draw this season with a 1-1 tie over VCU on Sunday, August 28.
- The Spartans made five saves.
- VCU outshot UNCG 17-5.
- In the 15th minute of play, UNCG's Chloe Lausell took a free kick that was deflected into the net by a VCU defender for an own goal and a 1-0 lead in favor of the Spartans.
- The Spartans were called for a foul close to the near corner in the 87th minute and Aisha Maughan crossed it to where Kendyl Sarver could direct it to the back right corner with her head to tie the match at one.

- Junior Caroline Woods led the 2021 team with four goals and one assist for nine points, making her way to the All-Conference second team.
- Senior Maddy Gilhool was third on the team with two goals and two assists.
- Sophomore Mel Herrera, senior Eliza Radoll, and Nadia Wilson each scored a goal last season.
- Freshman Chloe Lausell returns in the backline after being named to the SoCon All-Freshman Team.

- Harvard enters the contest 2-0 with wins over CCSU and Northeastern.
- The Crimson posted 3-0 victories against both teams.
- This is just the sixth game in North Carolina for the Crimson.
- The Crimson made its 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season after receiving an at-large bid.
