ELON, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's cross country team took home fourth place at the Elon Invitational on Friday morning at the Elon Cross Country Course.
The Spartans totaled 94 points overall, finishing fourth out of seven teams with all nine from UNCG earning a top-50 mark. The College of Charleston earned the team title with 29 points, while host Elon finished second with 52 points and VCU rounded out the top three teams with 79 points.
Junior
Vicky Sosa crossed the finish line third out of 69 competitors in the six-kilometer race. She clocked in a time of 22:09.0, which was 11 seconds from the individual champion, Jasmine Young from Elon, who ran the course in 21:58.8.
Senior
Camille Carlson placed 20
th overall with her time of 23:20.3, while sophomore
Tenley Douglass and freshman
Lillian Douglass finished in 27
th and 28
th place, respectively. Tenley ran the event in 23:58.1 and her sister posted a time of 23:59.5.
Freshman
Dahlia Lind crossed the finish line in 33
rd place with a time of 24:40.5. Senior
Emma Berrier followed in 35
th place with a time of 24:45.8.
Seniors
Bella Manfre (40

The UNCG men's team will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, to compete in the Panorama Farms Invitational, hosted by Virginia on Saturday. The men's eight-kilometer race will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Both the men and women will then prepare for The 2024 Southern Conference (SoCon) Cross Country Championships. The Championships will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at Furman Golf Course. The women's five-kilometer race will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the men's eight-kilometer race will follow at 10:45 a.m.
