Track Completes Regular Season at JDL Last Chance Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's & women's track teams competed at the JDL Last Chance Invitational on Saturday at the JDL Fast Track. This was the Spartans final regular season meet before competing in The Southern Conference (SoCon) Indoor Track & Field Championships next weekend.
 
Six Spartans clocked in personal best times.
 
Peyton Wilson competed in the 200- and 400- meter runs, clocking in personal best times and top-10 marks in both. She ran a time of 1:03.96 in the 400-meter run taking home fifth out of 12 competitors. She also finished ninth out of 20 competitors in the 200-meter run with a time of 27.99-seconds.
 
Camille Carlson also earned a top-10 mark on Saturday, placing seventh out of 17 competitors in the mile. Carlson clocked in a time of 5:34.11. Emma Berrier, who finished 10th, and Kaitlyn Harrison, who placed 11th, both ran personal best times in the mile.
 
Kiarrah Williams clocked in a personal best time of 8.53-seconds in the 60-meter sprint. She placed 24th overall.
 
Luke Ward and Colin Keck both finished in the top 10 of the 3000-meter run. Ward clocked in a time of 8:50.28, good for fourth, while Keck ran a time of 8:51.65, good for sixth out of 21st overall.
 
Up next
The Spartans will take select individuals to the 2024 SoCon Indoor Track & Field Championships which will be held from Saturday, February 24 to Sunday, February 25 in Lexington, Virginia at the CPTF-Corps Physical Training Facility.
