Women's Golf Concludes Round Two of the Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team moved up to eighth place at the Evie Odom Invitational after the conclusion of the second round on Friday at Princess Anne Golf Course in Virginia Beach, Virginia. 

 
TEAM   

  • UNCG carded a 26-over-par (586) in two rounds of play.   

  • As a team, the Spartans recorded 18 birdies and 116 pars, which is third in the tournament, over two days.   

  • Maryland is leading the 12-team leaderboard with a ten-over par (570).   

  • 10-over-par 

INDIVIDUAL   

  • Julia Baeumken paces the Spartans with a two-over-par (72) and is in a tie for fourth place, two strokes back from the lead.   

  • Lulu Leetham follows behind in a tie for 17th, carding a two-over-par (72) on the day.  

  • Chanelle Mwangi was UNCG's biggest mover of the round, jumping 29 places to be in a tie for 20th after a two-under-par (68).  

  • Kasey McIlvaine carded a three-over-par (73) in round two. She is currently in a tie for 30th place. 

  • Elle Burnette sits in a tie for 44th place, turning in a six-over par (76) performance in round two.   

  • Rounding out the scorecard is Sophie Lauture  who sits in a tie for 59th place with a seven-over-par (77).
