GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team will conclude The 2025 Southern Conference (SoCon) regular season campaign this week. The team will travel to Johnson City, Tennessee, to take on ETSU at 6:00 p.m. in Brooks Gymnasium. The team will return to Greensboro to host Wofford on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in Bodford Arena.

FLEMING GYMNASIUM RENAMED BODFORD ARENA
- On Saturday, Nov. 8, Fleming Gymnasium, home to UNCG volleyball, women's basketball and men's basketball was renamed to Bodford Arena.
- This historic moment for the department was made possible through a transformational $2 million gift from the Bodford family.
- This generous support represents the largest unrestricted gift in the history of UNCG Athletics, as well as the first associated with naming a competitive athletic facility.
- The University is already familiar with the Bodford name - the Bodford Family Speed, Strength & Conditioning Center was dedicated in October 2020.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE SPARTANS
- UNCG went 1-1 on the road last weekend after falling to Mercer, 3-0, but earning a straight-set victory over The Citadel.
- Gabby Seeds recorded a .345 setting percentage and led the way with 51 assists for an 8.50 assists per set average in six sets.
- McKenna Timmerman paced the Spartans with 27 kills and a .258 hitting percentage on the week. She notched a 3.83 kills per set average in six sets played.
- Connore' Siler-Nixon led the Spartans at the net with 8.0 total blocks on the week for a 1.33 blocks per set average. She added 12 kills and two digs on the week.
ABOUT THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans come into the weekend with a 15-10 overall record and 8-6 mark in the SoCon.
- UNCG is currently tied for fourth place in the SoCon standings with Chattanooga.
- The last time UNCG captured eight SoCon wins was in the 2021 season as that squad went 12-4 in conference play.
- UNCG stands out in the top-50 nationally in digs per set (34th/15.97) and total digs (47th/1,549).
- The squad is pacing the SoCon in digs per set (15.97).
- The Spartans are second in the conference in assists per set (12.00), assists (1,164), attacks per set (35.85) and service aces (160).
- Allie Sweet is currently ranked in the top-20 nationally among six statistical categories: attacks per set (2nd/12.71), total attacks (4th/1,233), points (13th/488.5), total kills (13th/427), points per set (20th/5.04) and kills per set (27th/4.40).
- Sweet is leading the SoCon in attacks per set (12.71), kills per set (4.40), points (488.5), points per set (5.04), total attacks (1,233) and total kills (427).
- Nussbaum stands out nationally at 34th in total digs (446) and 40th in digs per set (4.60).
- Seeds is second in the SoCon with 812 total assists and a 9.67 assists per set average.
- Seeds reached the 1,000-career assist milestone in the team's reverse sweep win over UNC Asheville on Sept. 20 in Greensboro.
- The Spartans have collected six SoCon Player of the Week mentions this season: Seeds (Oct. 20 & Nov. 3), Siler-Nixon (Oct. 6), Sweet (Sept. 1 & Sept. 15) and Nussbaum (Sept. 1).
- The 2025 squad features 10 returners and six newcomers. Out of the six newcomers, four are transfer students and two are freshmen.
- UNCG was picked to finish the SoCon regular season in a tie for fifth place with Chattanooga.
- Sweet was selected to the SoCon Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Sweet's preseason nod comes after being named SoCon Freshman of the Year, while also being voted to the All-SoCon First Team and All-Freshman Team last season.
SCOUTING ETSU
- ETSU sits atop the SoCon standings at 13-1 as the team has already claimed the SoCon Regular Season Title.
- The Bucs are 19-6 overall this season.
- ETSU went 1-1 last weekend after earning a 3-0 win over The Citadel, but falling to Furman, 3-2.
- The loss at Furman was ETSU's first SoCon loss this season and first loss since Sept. 12.
- ETSU is leading the SoCon in aces per set (1.70), assists per set (12.15) and hitting percentage (.242),
- Makayla Bays is pacing the league with a 0.40 aces per set average and 37 total service aces this season.
- Bays is second in the SoCon in kills per set (3.86), points (408.5) and points per set (4.44).
- Whitley Rammel is second in the conference with a .366 hitting percentage.
- ETSU was voted to finish third in the 2025 SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll.
- Brianna Cantrell and Whitley Rammel were selected to the 2025 Preseason All-Conference Team.

The Bucs lead in the overall series against the Spartans at 36-12. ETSU claimed the previous meeting with UNCG this season, 3-2, in Greensboro.
SCOUTING WOFFORD
- Wofford comes into the final week of the regular season at 14-11 overall and 10-4 in the SoCon.
- The Terriers are currently tied for second place in the league standings with Furman.
- Wofford went 1-1 last weekend with a 3-1 loss at Furman and earning a 3-1 win at Mercer.
- Wofford leads the SoCon in blocks per set (2.51) and opponent hitting percentage (.169).
- The Terriers are second in the league with a 1.66 aces per set average.
- Laney Klika paces the SoCon and is 17th nationally with a 4.98 digs per set average.
- Chloe Smith is second in the conference with an 11.18 attacks per set average.
- Annemarie Rakoski is the best blocker on the squad as she is second in the SoCon with 117 total blocks and a 1.34 blocks per set average.
- The Terriers were selected to finish first in the 2025 SoCon Preseason Coaches' Poll with six first-place votes.
- Brown, Klika and Bri Mahoney were all named to the 2025 Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Wofford will take on ETSU on Friday at 6:00 p.m. in Johnson City before coming to Greensboro on Saturday.
