Baseball Releases 2026 Schedule

12/19/2025 2:38:00 PM

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball Head Coach Cody Ellis announced the team's 2026 schedule on Friday.

The Spartans concluded the 2025 season 21-33 overall and 9-12 in The Southern Conference (SoCon). Coach Ellis enters his second year as head of the program with a combined record of 54-54.

"Our 2026 schedule includes 11 games against SEC and ACC opponents," said Coach Ellis. "We're excited for the chance to compete against some of the best teams in the country. We'll be at home for four of our seven conference weekends, and with half of our games at home, we're hoping to see the stadium and the hill packed all season."

The Spartans boasted one of the better pitching staffs last season in the SoCon, if not in the nation. The Blue & Gold finished 35th in shutouts (4), 52nd in strikeout to walk ratio (2.27), 60th in strikeouts per nine (9.1) and 60th in walks allowed-per-nine (3.99).

The Spartans return 20 players from last year's squad while adding 16 newcomers to the roster. Eleven of them are freshmen this year.
