BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team concluded day one of The Southern Conference (SoCon) Championships in third place on Monday at Columbia Country Club. 

 
TEAM   

• UNCG finished the day with a score of 11-over-par (299) to head into round two in third place.  

• Furman is pacing the eight-team leaderboard with a one-over-par (289).   

• UNCG is second in the field with 62 pars in the tournament.   

INDIVIDUAL   

• Kasey McIlvaine leads the way for the Spartans with an even score (72) and is tied for third in the tournament. McIlvaine is tied for second in the tournament with three birdies on the round.  

• Julia Baeumken is tied for seventh place with an overall score of two-over-par (74).  Baeumken leads the tournament with 16 pars.  

• Elle Burnette sits in a tie for 14th place with a four-over-par (76). She will be subbed out for Chanelle Mwangi in round two. 

• Sophie Lauture is in a tie for 19th place with a five-over-par (77).  

• Lulu Leetheem rounded out the scorecard in a tie for 27th place with a six-over-par (78).
