SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In the first round of weekly awards this season,
Izora Gragg of the UNC Greensboro (UNCG) volleyball team has been named The Southern Conference (SoCon) Setter of the Week for the first time in her career, announced by the league office Monday.
Across seven sets played in week one, Gragg notched 75 assists for a 10.71 assists per set average to lead the SoCon. The senior added 10 digs, 2.0 total blocks and one service ace on the week.
"I'm really proud of the work our team has put in so far this season," said Gragg. "We've challenged ourselves and grown a lot. We're looking forward to getting back to work and continuing to push each other as we prepare for the season ahead."
The Morganton, North Carolina, native was three assists away from matching her career-best in the team's win over Northeastern Saturday evening as she tossed 50 assists.

The senior's SoCon nod is the first of her career and first for the Spartans this season. The last time a Spartan earned a weekly mention was when current junior
Gabby Seeds was named SoCon Setter of the Week on Nov. 17, 2025. Â
