GREENSBORO, N.C.  – Coming off a victory over No. 11 NC State in the midweek, UNCG baseball (3-1, 0-0) will be riding a three-game win streak into this weekend, facing off with nearby High Point University (1-2, 0-0) in neutral territory. The Spartans' series with the Panthers will be played at Truist Point ballpark this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the home of Atlantic League club, the High Point Rockers.
UNCG and HPU will be the first Division I teams to ever play in the recently constructed park. This weekend's series is the first three of four games the Spartans will play in professional parks this year, as they'll compete against North Carolina A&T at First National Bank Field in April.

HOW'S THEIR FORM?
-- UNCG posted 16 runs against NC State on Tuesday, the most a non-ACC club has scored at Doak Field in the past decade. The Spartans' 16 runs were the most the program has scored on the road since hanging 18 on Furman back on April 16, 2016
-- High Point neglected to play a midweek game, dropping two of three against visiting Bryant last weekend. The Spartans will play the Bulldogs at home in their following weekend series at UNCG Baseball Stadium
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- Corey Rosier leads all Spartans with six RBI on the year, playing all four of his appearances in the leadoff. He already has a double, triple and a home run, driving in four runs against the Wolfpack on Tuesday
-- 2020 Freshman All American Pres Cavenaugh is off to a hot start in his second year as a Spartan, with his .467/.600/.667 slash line leading UNCG in all three categories. Three of his seven knocks are doubles this season, two of which came against State. He's also 2-for-2 when attempting to steal a base this season
-- The bullpen quartet of Jack Voigt, Brandon Stephens, Phillip Sanderson and Kross Robinson have combined for 13.2 IP this season, allowing a combined single earned run on the year (0.66 ERA). Stephens, Robinson and Sanderson all have a 0.00 ERA, with the two formerly mentioned arms collecting three saves this year. Voigt's eight strikeouts lead all Spartan hurlers this season
SCOUTING HIGH POINT
-- 14 Panther hitters have made starts in 2021 already, with senior Joe Johnson leading HPU offensively. The fifth-year Panther is slashing .444/.615/.778 over his first three appearances, and already has a double and a triple on the year
-- Friday starter Grey Lyttle received a losing decision in his first start of 2021, despite giving up just a single earned run over six innings of work. The righty has struck out a team-high seven batters on the year, and is yet to concede a walk
SERIES HISTORY
-- UNCG is 22-12 against High Point all-time, defeating the side 11-3 in a midweek matchup last year
-- The Spartans are on a three-game winning streak against the Panthers, and have emerged victorious in four of the pair's last five meetings
