GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team is set to head to Charleston, S.C. for a three-game series against The Citadel Bulldogs this weekend.
 
The times continue to be the same on the weekends with Friday set for 6 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
-- The Spartans enter the contest with a 17-24 overall record, 2-7 in the Southern Conference.
--Hogan Windish leads the conference with a .395 batting average.
--Sam Murchison led the way for the Spartan's pitching, striking out five batters last night against Campbell.
--Austin Parsley and Jared Mathewson lead the conference in innings pitched. Parsley has 63.1 while Mathewson has 61.1 innings.
--Parsley also leads the conference with six wins.
--Alex Hoppe has allowed the fewest hits, runs, and home runs in the conference this season. He has allowed 18 runs on 34 hits and only one home run.  
--Mitchell Smith is tied for third in the conference in doubles with 14 this season.
 
CAREER MILESTONE TRACKER
--Jared Mathewson and Kross Robinson are nearing the 200 mark in career strikeouts.
--Mathewson is 20 away.
-- Robinson needs 10 more.
 
IN THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
--As a team, the Spartans are ranked in the top 100 in eight categories: 12th in hits (443), 24th in batting average (.303), 50th in triples (12), 61st in doubles (80), 64th in triples per game (0.29), 73rd in runs (280), 77th in on-base percentage (.386), and 92nd in doubles per game (1.95).
--Kennedy Jones is the only Spartan ranked in the top 100 in five categories: 26th in RBIs per game (1.29), 38th in hits per game (1.57), 48th in RBIs (45), 85th in doubles per game (0.37), and 97th in batting average (.372).
--Parsley and Hoppe are ranked in four categories.
--Parsley is sixth in games started (11), 28th in walks allowed per nine innings (1.43), 29th in victories (6), and 43rd in strikeout-to-walk ratio (5.70).
--Hoppe is 22nd in strikeouts per nine innings (13.10), 66th in strikeouts (66), 70th in hits allowed per nine innings (6.75), and 98th in victories (5).

--Zack Budzik is 84th in sacrifice flies with four this season. 
--Price King is now in the top 100 in pitching appearances. He has 19 which put shim at 98th.
