Volleyball Announces Camp Dates

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) head volleyball coach Corey Carlin has announced dates for several different camps this summer. Camps include a youth camp, all-skills, ball control, attacking, coaches' clinic, team training, and college prep. Full details are available here or at https://www.coreycarlinvolleyballcamps.com.

Youth Volleyball Camp – July 11th & 18th - $150 (Lunch included) – 4th-7th Graders
This camp is an introductory camp for beginning players that want to learn the fundamental skills required to play volleyball at a functioning level.  Participants will focus on techniques to gain confidence and competence in serving, passing, setting, attacking, and defense.  Basic team concepts and competition will also be covered but the primary goal of this camp is to introduce the skills of the game.  Campers will be divided by skill level and placed in groups where they can develop appropriately.

All-Skills Camp – July 12th-13th & July 15th - $300 (Lunch included each day) – 6th-12th graders
This camp is for players of all ability levels that want to improve their skills.  All campers will focus on the basic volleyball skill fundamentals, while the more advanced players will then progress to the finer techniques and concepts of playing the game at a higher level.  Campers will be divided by skill level and placed in groups where they can develop appropriately.

Ball Control Camp – July 8th & July 21st - $150 (Lunch included) – 6th-12th Graders
This camp is for players of all ability levels that want to focus on techniques that lead to consistent serving, passing and backcourt defense, or "winning the first contact."   Campers will be divided by skill level and placed in groups where they can develop appropriately.

Volleyball Coaches' Clinic -AM Session – July 8th - $150 (includes lunch & coach's gift) – Coaches of all levels
This coaches' clinic will include sessions on training the fundamental skills of passing, serving, setting, attacking, blocking and defense, concepts for training team offense and team defense, as well as demonstrating team drills followed by a Q & A session with the UNCG coaching staff.

Team Training Camp -  July 16th - $500 per team (must have at least 8 players) – 9th-12th Graders
This camp is for teams that want to train as a unit and elevate group play.  Team-focused drills and training concepts will be employed by the camp staff and catered to the direction of the coach accompanying the group to camp.  Teams will have opportunities to train by themselves and/or share a court with another team for wash drills, etc.

Team Play Day – July 17th - $800 per team (must have at least 8 players – 9th-12th Graders
Participating teams will have a full day of competitions.  The format of play will allow recovery time throughout the day.  TEAMS WILL BE GUARANTEED A MINIMUM OF 4 MATCHES.  Each team's schedule will allow for a lunch break on their own.

College Prep Camp – July 22nd-23rd - $400 commuter (includes meals) / $450 for resident (includes overnight lodging & meals)
This camp is for players that have already established themselves as competitive players at the high school level and looking to play volleyball in college.  This camp is NOT for beginning level players.  It is assumed that participants registering for this camp are physically and mentally ready to train at a higher level of pace, competence and competition that is similar to a college volleyball team's training regimen.  This session is for players that have multiple years of high school varsity and club volleyball experience and are very confident in their playing ability.  Campers will be divided by skill level and placed in groups where they can develop appropriately.
