ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
This squad posted a 26-7 overall record and a 13-1 mark in conference play, winning the regular and conference tournament before advancing all the way to the NCAA Division III National Semifinals. The Spartans’ 26 wins are the second-most in program history, while their 13 conference wins are the most in program history.
This team owned one of the most prolific scoring teams in program history in 1987-88 as they broke the 100-point barrier seven times that season. Additionally, this team still holds five of the top eight single-game scoring outputs in program history, including a program-record 139 points against Averett College. In fact, the victory over Averett was the largest in program history as UNCG won by 100 points (139-39).
