ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
In four years as a student-athlete at UNCG, 1981-85, Renee Coltrane helped the women's basketball team gain national prominence while setting a high standard of individual achievement on the court and in the classroom. An All American as a junior in 1983-84, she was the first women's basketball player at the University to exceed 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career. She helped the team to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including a national runner-up finish in 1982, and an 88-24 overall record.
