ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
For more than two decades Mike Fleming has been a University supporter, a volunteer leader, and an advocate for University programs, including athletics. Not only has he contributed financially to support the University’s needs, including athletic scholarships, but he has encouraged others to do so. Mike was instrumental in securing legislative funding approval for the construction of the Health and Human Performance Building (completed in 1989), now known as the Coleman Building which houses academic and athletic programs. Mike was a member of the UNCG Board of Trustees (1981-1987), and a member of the UNCG Excellence Fund Board of Directors (1979-1985). He is one of the most visible supporters of the athletic teams.
