ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Dail served as UNCG's women's volleyball head coach from 1979- 1999, amassing a career record of 490-259 (.654), leading the Spartans to four NCAA Tournaments and 14 seasons of 20 or more victories. Dail's victory total represents a UNCG record, 384 more than second place. Her 1984 team set the school record for wins in a season with 34 and her 1989 team matched that feat.
During her 21 seasons, Dail led the Spartans from the days of the Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) all the way into Division I, earning multiple coaching honors along the way.
Dail coached 18 players who earned a total of 33 all-conference honors, including 1995 Big South player of the year and UNCG Hall of Fame member Liz Gremillion.
Dail also served two seasons (1980-81) as head coach of the men's volleyball program, and was the softball head coach from 1981-87.
