ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
One of just two women's basketball players to have her number retired, Goodson ( 1997-2000) finished her career as the school's No. 2 all-time leading scorer with 1,464 points - tops in UNCG's Division I era.
A first-team all-conference selection in both the Big South ( 1996-97) and Southern Conference (1998-99), Goodson helped lead the Spartans to their first NCAA Division I tournament appearance in 1998 as UNCG posted a 21-8 overall record.
Largely regarded as the top player of UNCG's Division I era, Goodson currently holds or shares eight school records, including career marks for free throws made (385) and attempted (568), career double-doubles (24), and single-game records for field-goal percentage (11-for-11), free throws made (15) and attempted (19). Goodson also owns school marks for most points (33) and rebounds (13) in a SoCon Tournament game. She accomplished all this despite injuries limiting her to just nine games as a senior.
For her career, Goodson averaged 15.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 94 games. UNCG won at least 18 games during each of her four seasons, posting an overall mark of 79-37 (.681).
