ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Brian Moehler was a key member of the University's first baseball recruiting class and competed three seasons as a starting pitcher before being selected in the sixth round of the 1993 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft. Brian was the starting pitcher in UNCG's first game in 1991 and later registered the program's first victory over a Division I opponent. Along with a group of dedicated teammates, Brian helped put the baseball team on a successful track that resulted in the Big South Conference title and an NCAA Regional Tournament berth in 1994. Brian was competing in the Detroit Tigers' farm system by that time, but seven other original players remained.
