ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Missi was a standout on the volleyball court as the Spartan program transitioned from Division II to Division I status. During her four seasons, two in Division II and two in Division I, the Spartans accumulated a 108- 37 mark, including a pair of 30-win seasons. She helped the Spartans to an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 1990 as the team went 32-6. That year, she earned all-region honors and was also named Academic All-District by CoSIDA.
In 1991, Missi ranked second in the nation in digs per game. The following year, she recorded a then school-record of 524 kills and earned All-Big South and All-Big South Tournament honors. Today, she still ranks first in career kills (1,600), service aces (221), and digs (1,932). She is also listed in the single-season top 10 lists 15 times.
