ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME
Alejandro was a four-year letter winner and starter for the Spartans men’s soccer program from 1998-2001, helping the Spartans record a 57-27-3 record (.672) during his career. He was a four-time First Team All-Region selection and a four-time All-Conference recipient.
Moreno helped the Spartans to a Southern Conference regular season and Tournament Championship in 1998 as UNCG advanced to the NCAA Second Round. His play led the Spartans to a No. 13 ranking in the country by the NSCAA and a 17th ranking by Soccer America.
Moreno was selected 27th overall in the 2002 Major League Soccer (MLS) Super Draft by the Los Angeles Galaxy. He played 272 career MLS games with six different teams from 2002-2012. He also played for the Venezuela National Team during his career, including games during the 2010 World Cup Qualifying round.
